Chris Cherrington

Chris is a specialist in developing outstanding leaders and building commercial capability across many FTSE 100 organisations. He works with fee-earners and sales teams helping them to hone their skills to win business and negotiate. He also works with leaders to develop their ability to motivate and lead their business successfully. Chris has consulted on a large number of change programmes helping business leaders engage and align their people throughout the change process. He is a highly regarded coach with experience of coaching senior leaders both in the UK and Europe and is a practitioner of Myers Briggs and NLP.

Before joining Black Isle, Chris spent 17 years gaining invaluable leadership and commercial experience, in Investment Banking with Morgan Stanley and with BSkyB. Prior to that Chris led teams in challenging environments as an Army Officer. This included protecting humanitarian aid convoys during the Bosnian conflict and acting as lead negotiator with the indigenous tribal population of Sierra Leone during the rebel insurgency.In 2003 Chris took the post of Project and Operations Director of the ‘Betfair Indian Ocean Row’, a global expedition. The experience developed his knowledge of working with the media, pitch winning and crisis leadership.

Chris has a young family which keeps him busy but he still manages to play as much sport as possible including cricket, golf and rugby.
